Helping pastors and their leadership teams
thrive in a changing, complex world

About

North-South key focus is the Church Revitalisation of Kiwi churches to reclaim the name of Jesus here in Aotearoa/ New Zealand. It has three strategies:

  1. Sharing your faith Confidently course
  2. Looking at a disciple-making small group ministry, that has emerged out of church planting movements overseas.
  3. Helping church leadership refocus afresh on their calling either through a number of unstructured ways ( see helping your church), or through a very focused six-session church revitalisation journey with leaders and emerging leaders.

It believes, over the years the church in Aotearoa has lost its confidence in sharing the wonderful, life-changing good news about Jesus and most churches have no discipleship process in place. It has strategies and plans for how to help the church rediscover its confidence.

The Conception Of North-South

North-South began in September 2019, by Rev Gradon Harvey and two businessmen John Bank and John Roche. We have been well supported by Mark Fortney who developed the Church Mobilisation Journey in the USA ( Now called Church Revitalisation Journey here in New Zealand) and who trained Gradon in its method. Leanne Mallinder oversees our finances. These folk also serve as trustees and management.

The North-South Story

Introducing Gradon Harvey, National Leader (NZ)

Gradon has been a minister for 40 years. His last appointment was for 18 years as a senior pastor in a town of 10,000 – where the congregations averaged 500 each Sunday. He also led a short-term agency during this time that mobilised 1,000 people into short-term missions. Most recently, he spent 6 years serving as Executive Director of an international missions organization. He has worked in 40 different countries with various mission organisations- including 3 years of church planting in South America.
